10 minutes into the episode, 'Dan' and 'Stephanie' are undercover and trying to meet with 'Dr. Seward'. 'Stephanie' waits in the van as 'Dan' goes to work and shmoozes his way into getting some of the 'S'. As 'Dr. Seward' provides 'Dan' with information, 'Stephanie' jots down all of what is revealed, and it is at this scene when this hero item appears on full screen. 'Dan' is played by Daniel Baldwin ('Born on the Fourth of July'), 'Stephanie' is played by Daphne Zuniga ('Melrose Place'), and 'Dr. Seward' is played by Joel Grey who is to star in the up-coming television series 'Further Tales of the City'.

The police have located the whereabouts of "Dr. Seward", who is played by Joel Grey. He knows that he will be thrown in jail and that all his work and research will be confiscated and ultimately destroyed. He has kept on hand the only vials remaining that will allow him to "see" his family. These hero items are featured on screen right before the police bust in on "Dr. Seward" 41 minutes into the episode. "Dr. Seward" is played by Joel Grey and he is scheduled to star in the much anticipated television series, Further Tales of the City.

This working hero prop is featured 36 minutes into the episode when 'Stephanie' (Jessica Steen) confronts 'Dr. Seward' and is about to destroy the machine. She knows that if she destroys it the entire predicament will finally be over with. But 'Dr. Seward' convinces her not to. This working prop appears on screen 40 and 43 minutes into the episode as well. It emits blue, green, and red lights.

There is a man who is up to no good, at least, that's what the police department believes. He has developed a drug that allows a person to enjoy the company of a loved one who is deceased. In the opening scenes of the episode, the police are investigating an old woman's house and they have found the vial which contained the hallucinogenic drug, and this is when this hero item appears on screen.

14 minutes into the episode, "Scott", who is played by D.B. Sweeney ("Fire in the Sky") is still in the initial stages of his investigation. Scott has gone to visit "Kathrine" (Jessica Steen) at the Halford Medical Center and she is unknowingly providing the clues that will ultimately help solve the puzzle. This is just the sort of information that "Scott" needs and when he starts to put the pieces together, what he discovers is more frightening than what he originally thought. These hero items feature prominently at this point in the episode and would make a great addition to a prop collection.

"Scott Bowman" is desperate to discover the secrets hidden within his small hometown. His brother was mysteriously killed and "Scott" is doing everything he can to uncover the truth. While investigating the crime scene, he comes across some evidence that may help him. This hero item appears on full screen 34 minutes into the episode as "Scott" eagerly reads the journal entries that he has found.
